That certainly didn’t take long. A lot happened at Money In the Bank this year with several title changes, surprises and big moments. Some of the things that happened might not have been the most popular, but the show was certainly not boring. The matches themselves were big enough deals, but there were some things that happened after the matches that were important as well.
According to Bryan Alvarez on the Bryan and Vinny Show, United States Champion Rey Mysterio has suffered a shoulder injury which may be a separated shoulder. Mysterio suffered the injury during his post match beatdown at the hands of Samoa Joe. At the moment, there is no word on how severe the injury is or how much time, if any, Mysterio could miss.
There wasn’t much to see. Check out Mysterio’s title win:
Opinion: While the title win was a big deal, Mysterio getting injured is far from a surprise these days. It feels like he can’t go more than a few weeks without suffering some kind of an injury, which isn’t a good sign as he is now in the twilight of his career. Hopefully the injury isn’t too severe and the title won’t be in jeopardy, but Mysterio gets hurt far too often these days and that’s a shame.
