One down. Money In The Bank is one of the biggest game changers a wrestler can get in WWE. It more or less guarantees someone a title reign while also managing to change everything about the title picture in a single night. At the same time, it gives the fans a good match more often than not. What matters is the cash-in though and that’s what we got on Sunday.
At Money In The Bank, Bayley won the Women’s ladder match and the briefcase that came with it, which she then cashed in later in the night to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion. Becky Lynch came into the night as champion and successfully defended the Raw Women’s Title against Lacey Evans. Charlotte came out for the SmackDown Women’s Title match immediately and defeated Lynch with Evans’ interference. Bayley cashed in after the match to win the title for the first time.
It meant a lot later on. Check out the ladder match:
Opinion: Good for Bayley, as it’s far too long in the making. Bayley could be a huge star in the women’s division but she has been stuck with Sasha Banks and running on that treadmill for years now. I’m not exactly full of confidence in WWE to pull this off, but at least something new is happening and we might be able to go somewhere new for a change.
What do you think of Bayley cashing in? How long will she hold the title? Let us know in the comments below.
