Un impulso para El Idolo? Every now and then, someone will have a match that earns them a heck of a push or even more. The person might be a big name already but other times it can be someone who comes out of nowhere and steals the show. It happened to Cedric Alexander in last year’s Cruiserweight Classic, to the point where he earned a job out of his performance. Now it seems that we might have someone else getting the same result out of his work.
According to PWInsider by way of Cagesideseats.com, Andrade Cien Almas is in line for a huge push on SmackDown Live, mainly due to his performance against AJ Styles on last week’s show. Almas has since gone on to defeat Rusev on this week’s episode and was listed among names who could potentially challenge Styles for the WWE Championship at next month’s Summerslam, a spot which went to Samoa Joe.
The star making performance in question.
Opinion: I’m a big Almas fan and seeing him become a top star on either show would be a great treat. He’s young, he’s experienced, he has a perfect chemistry with valet Zelina Vega and he seems to be someone WWE is ready to invest in long term. What more could you ask for from him? WWE is always looking into expanding internationally and Almas could be a great foot into the door of the Mexico market.
