It can happen to anyone. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can get hurt and none of them are good. Every so often, someone is going to suffer an injury that keeps them out of the ring for one reason or another and different kinds of matches can make it more complicated. That seems to be the case again, as an AEW star is going to be missing an appearance due to injuries.

Over the weekend, Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage lost a coffin match to Sting and Darby Allin at AEW All In, when Strickland was put in the coffin. Starrcast VI, the fan convention associated with this weekend’s AEW All Out event, has announced that Strickland has been forced to with draw from the convention due to injuries suffered in the match. There is no word on what kind of injuries Strickland suffered or how long he will be out of action.
Due to injuries sustained in his Coffin Match at #AEWAllIn, @swerveconfident will no longer be appearing at #Starrcast.

Strickland is a star when he’s healthy. Check out what he can do in the ring:
Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t too bad as you never want to see anyone on the shelf for any time. Swerve is one of the most talented stars in the company and someone who has seemed ready to become a breakout star. It would be great to see him get back in the ring sooner than later, but we’ll have to see what kind of issues he is dealing with before he can make a return.
