One more run? There have been all kinds of wrestlers on the WWE roster over the years, some of whom have had more success than others. You can see someone who makes an impact but still leaves anyway. On occasion WWE will bring those wrestlers back later, often as a big surprise. Now we might be seeing that again, and there is a chance that it has been in the works for a long time.

According to Fightful Select, sources have said that former WWE Tag Team Champions the Authors of Pain were signed back to WWE last year. The re-signing would have taken place before Vince McMahon returned to WWE earlier this year, as he stopped most signings. The team was reportedly on the company’s internal travel list in May, though they have not appeared for WWE since being released in 2020.

The team worked well while they were around. Check out what might be returning to WWE TV:

Opinion: It would be nice to have the AOP back, as not only do they already have success under the WWE banner, but they are the kind of team who can be slotted in anywhere. They’re big monsters with all kinds of power and that is the kind of thing that can be very valuable. Sometimes you need to have a pair of strong guys who can throw anyone around, and that might be what we are getting next.

What do you think of the team? How would they do if they returned to WWE TV? Let us know in the comments below.
