Someone has to go. AEW is the second biggest wrestling promotion in the world and has a stacked roster with all kinds of wrestlers. There are so many different combinations to present the stars and some of those can make some very interesting matches. At the same time, sometimes a wrestler has to leave so room can be made for new stars. Now it seems like we are seeing another star make their exit.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, AEW will not be renewing Bobby Fish’s contract. Fish debuted with AEW on the October 6, 2021 edition of Dynamite and is expected to leave when his contract expires. Fish most recently appeared on the August 3 Dynamite but he has not wrestled a match for the company since July 13. There is no word on whether Fish was wanting to leave the promotion.
Several in AEW have been told Bobby Fish's AEW contract is not being renewed.

Opinion: This is a bit surprising but at the same time, it does make a bit of sense. You can only get so much out of Fish when he does not wrestle very often. It doesn’t help that he is 45 years old and has rarely been more than a tag team wrestler. Fish is a talented star and a great hand, but it does not seem to be working very well for him in AEW at the moment. I’m curious to see where he goes though, because there is a market out there for someone as talented as Fish.
How has Fish done in AEW? Where do you see him going next? Let us know in the comments below.
