In one door and out the other. There are a lot of people on the WWE roster at the moment and it can be difficult to find something for all of them to do. WWE is trying as hard as they can, but it’s not like they can keep coming up with something fresh for everyone. Sometimes the best idea they have at the moment is not the best idea overall, but now something might be switching over.
Every now and then in wrestling, you find someone who is a natural at what they are doing. There might not be much of a point to leaving them down on the lower part of the card, or even in developmental these days, for very long. That seems to be the case with Austin Theory, who moved from Evolve to NXT to WrestleMania in less than a year. Now he is on Monday Night Raw, and things are changing for him again.
During this week’s Monday Night Raw, Zelina Vega threw Theory out of her group, saying that she shouldn’t have believed in him while Angel Garza and Andrade beat Theory down. Later in the night, Theory had yet to move from the same spot as Aleister Black and Murphy had a match. Seth Rollins was at ringside as well and instructed Theory to attack Black, leading to the DQ. Theory then joined Rollins and Murphy as Rollins’ latest disciple. This is almost identical to the way Murphy joined Rollins in January.
Theory has a lot of talent. Check out what he’s done so far:
Opinion: I like this move as it seems to be something that fits Theory a lot more. Rollins seems like someone who would be a better mentor to Theory, who was literally a thrown in replacement for Andrade at WrestleMania. If nothing else, it’s nice to see WWE accepting that something they did wasn’t working and trying something else. Now why can’t they do that more often?
