What was your name again? Sometimes in wrestling, names are changed seemingly at the drop of a hat. Every now and then it’ll be an entirely new character but other times it’s a case of someone having part of their name chopped off. It happened to Big E. (formerly Big E. Langston) and Rusev (formerly Alexander Rusev) but it also happened to Apollo Crews. Due to a bit of a stretch of a reason, Crews became simply known as Apollo. Now his name seems to have changed again.
Here’s how good he was back at full name strength.

Opinion: I’m glad the name is being changed back as the reported reason for the change felt like a major stretch at best. It’s hard to believe that fans would reject Crews just because of how his name sounded, though at least the name change wasn’t the worst in the world. Crews having his old name back makes a lot more sense and gives his name a better flow. Apollo Crews comes off better than just Apollo, though it doesn’t really matter very much if he doesn’t get more of a push.
