Another Former Champion Gone From GFW

There goes another one. The Global Force Wrestling roster seems to be changing almost weekly at this point with people either coming to the promotion or leaving just as fast. In this case, it’s another former champion leaving the promotion, though that’s hardly anything new in this case.

According to her official Twitter account, Angelina Love has asked for and been granted her release from Global Force Wrestling. There is no evidence of any kind of bad feelings on either side. This comes less than a month after Love’s husband Davey Richards left the company, also seemingly on good terms. This was Love’s fourth run with the company, where she was a six time Knockouts Champion.

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised as Love hadn’t been used much lately. She’s definitely one of the biggest stars the division has ever seen and while they could use the star power, if she’s not going to be used, there’s no point in keeping her around. I liked her run with Richards as she’s very good in the villain roles, though hopefully she’s happy elsewhere too.
