Someone might want to get on that. The wrestling world has changed a lot in recent years as the rise of various promotions has allowed for more wrestlers to get a chance to showcase themselves elsewhere. That has been the case with all kinds of talented wrestlers and it is only going to continue to grow. Now we might know where one of the bigger names today is going.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, NXT’s Adam Cole is set to become a free agent later this month. His contract originally expired last month after the Great American Bash but a short term extension was signed for this month. According to PWInsider.com, the internal belief was that Cole was signed through January 2022. There is no word on where he is currently going to sign, with NXT being a possibility. Cole is currently feuding with Kyle O’Reilly but no match has been made for the upcoming Takeover 36.
Cole is certainly worth a look. Check out what he can do for a lot of promotions:
Opinion: There is actually a lot here, as WWE does not exactly look good for not knowing that the contract was up, but the contract being up is a different story entirely. I’m not sure if Cole is going to stick with NXT, but the idea of jumping to AEW must be appealing. At the end of the day, Cole has never moved up to the main roster despite having nothing left to do in NXT. If he’s never going to get a chance at the top, why stick around?
Where will Cole go? Should he stay with WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
