Mark your calendars? There are several well known WWE shows throughout the company’s history and you often know when to expect most of them. Several of them have a very deep history of their own and those histories get longer and longer every single year. That will be the case next year as well, but one of them might be seeing something for the first time ever.
According to Fightful Select, there is a chance that the 2022 Royal Rumble will be held in February for the first time in history. There is no word on why the event would be moved to the later date. The likely current location for the event is St. Louis, Missouri, though Seattle, Washington has also been mentioned. It is not clear if the show would be held in February if Seattle hosts the event.
You have probably seen them before. Check out some of the show’s greatest matches:
Opinion: I would be curious to know why the event would be moved to another month, as the show has been held in January for its entire history. It would not be the worst thing in the world, but at the end of the day, it would certainly feel different after all these years. That being said, there is something to be said about trimming the Road To WrestleMania just a bit, especially if it means that we might not be seeing all of the extra pay per views between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
What do you think of the change? Will it be an improvement? Let us know in the comments below.
