According to PWInsider, former Tag Team Champion Darren Young returned from injury on Friday night.

The return came at the ‘Raw’ house show while the company was in Wichita, Kansas. Young competed in a Battle Royal ultimately won by Jason Jordan. The winner would receive the opportunity to face The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship later in the night. During the match, Young was able to eliminate Titus O’Neil before ultimately being eliminated by Apollo Crews.

Young has been sidelined since January when he suffered an injury on his right elbow against Epico on a Main Event taping from Little Rock, Arkansas. The injury came when he took a hard bump off the ring apron.

Young would explain after the injury that he suffered a hyperextension which resulted in a traumatic dislocation and fracture of the coronoid process of the right elbow. In February he underwent surgery and was told he would be out for approximately six months. He was cleared to resume wrestling last month and has been at the Performance Center training for his return.

Before his match last night, he took to his Instagram account to share the following message:

“People will stare, people will hate, people will gossip, and people will pass judgement. It’s just an unfortunate fact of life. It’s on us to pay absolutely ZERO attention to them. Let’s be the best version of ourselves both mind and body. Smile hard, smile often and keep crushing life. ?????? #WWEWitchita #BLOCKTHEHATE#LUCHASTRONG #BACKATIT #UKNOWWHATTIMEITIS
