Women’s wrestling continues to become more popular and taken more seriously as time goes by. While the Knockouts in TNA, now Impact Wrestling were to an extent taken seriously, it is now WWE and NXT sparking a revolution in it. Enter Jessie Elaban.

Squared Circle Sirens is reporting that Jessie Elaban has been signed to a contract by WWE, following her tryout last year.

Elaban is a yoga teacher and is a fitness and beach volleyball athlete. She took part in a tryout at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida back in October of 2016. This was the same tryout that led to Julia Ho, Heidi Lovelace and Kimber Lee being signed.

Lovelace, for example, now competes on NXT television as Ruby Riot. It should be noted that at the Download Festival during a match against Asuka for the NXT Womens Championship, Riot was injured, causing the match to stop and required multiple stitches but is reportedly fine.

Elaban has arrived in Orlando, Florida to start training this week with WWE at the Performance Center. If Wrestling Rumors learn any more detail on her persona in the company or the terms of her deal, we will bring it to you here!

Editor’s Note:

I can’t wait to see what Elaban can do. I don’t recall seeing any footage of her, nor is she known to me. If anyone else knows more about her, feel free to comment down below or send me a message on Twitter. My link is down below.
