Such is sadly the case with Big Cass, who had suffered a torn ACL that required surgery back in August 2017 during a Brooklyn Street Fight against his former tag team partner in Enzo Amore.
While the now former WWE Cruiserweight Champion in Amore has been released from WWE, Cass has nowhere to pick up from, meaning he will have to come back fresh with new, concise objectives.
PWInsider is noting that Big Cass was backstage at ‘Raw’ last night while they were in Dallas. While this doesn’t confirm anything, WrestlingInc did note back in mid-February that Cass had been spotted in the later stages of recovery at the Performance Center.
Word is now going around that Cass is in the final stages of being cleared and could likely return to ‘Raw’ anytime now- though we likely expect him to return at ‘WrestleMania 34’ for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal as we are only a few weeks till the event and he is yet to make his return.
Cass was originally expected to be out of action until May of this year, which meant that he would have no hope of being on the ‘WrestleMania 34’ card- a sad contrast for what WWE had planned for him with their push last year.
