Impact Wrestling star Tyrus has provided his opinions on Instagram and TMZ Sports on how America could stop school shootings in the future and prevent any further unnecessary loss of life.

Former WWE Superstar and current Impact Wrestling talent Tyrus took to his Instagram account following the latest school shooting to provide his followers with his opinions on what can be done to prevent future school shootings.

In his opinion, walls should be built around schools, metal detectors should be put in place, dogs and experienced, veteran security teams alert during school hours monitoring the fences.

Here is the post in question:

After this, he was set up to appear on TMZ Sports, where he had a lengthy interview on the topic, going into more depth.

Tyrus first expanded on the idea he mentioned about keeping schools safe on the Instagram post.

“You can use metal detectors, K-9 units, the visual alone of seeing two or three armed security officers at the front of the school where it’s the only way in, it’s a deterrent. You can’t get into the school if there’s a front line of defense. … Surround the schools. When I posted what I said today, somebody came back at me, ‘You’re going to make our schools like a prison?’ How many times you hear of someone breaking into prison and shooting somebody up? No, it can’t be done. You can make [the walls] fancy, you can put flowers, you can put artwork on the buildings or whatever, but there’s only one way in and one way out and there are trained security people there to keep our schools safe.”

Making note of the wall U.S. President Donald Trump intends to place, Tyrus explained how it may be important to use that idea for schools around America.

“We’re talking about a [U.S. border] wall to keep drugs out and stuff. We need walls around our schools, we need to protect our schools. Ten-foot rule. You can’t get within ten feet unless you’re supposed to be there. If you’re bringing a backpack in – and it’s not a clear backpack – you’re getting searched, that’s the world we live in.”

In conclusion, Tyrus was asked what he would say to someone who thought the ideas he presented were a bit extreme for an environment such as a school.

“Candidly? F— you. Because if your one kid is the one kid that got shot, that’s one kid too many.”

The following video contains everything mentioned above by Tyrus, and goes into a little more detail if you’re interested.
