According to WWE.com, Hawkins’ latest loss leaves him at a 0-179 losing streak, which in and of itself is historic.
That said, what may be more prominent in this case is the Superstar Hawkins faced, the city in which they faced and the arena they fought at.
Before we get to the details, check out a match from ‘Main Event’ featuring the two competitors.
Now onto the details, if you look back at ‘WrestleMania XII,’ Goldust faced “Rowdy” Roddy Piper in what has become a notorious Hollywood Backlot Brawl match in Anaheim.
Hawkins faced Goldust in the very same arena that Goldust had faced Piper many years before, and the ‘Raw’ Superstar couldn’t be happier taking the ‘L’ in the match.
Hawkins himself tweeted his thoughts on the match:
I wrestled @Goldust tonight in the same building he faced @R_Roddy_Piper in the infamous Hollywood Back Lot Brawl. That’s gotta be the coolest loss I’ve had yet. No shame in that, just honored.

Who do you believe will signal Hawkins’ win to break the streak? Will anyone ever beat this?
Editor’s Note:
I like Hawkins and I’m glad to see him enjoying his role, despite how demoralizing I’d personally find the losses to be. Must say though, I’d love to see him have a run with the “Face The Facts” gimmick in full force. Maybe down in NXT?
