WrestlingInc is reporting that WWE may be bringing back Big Cass under a new name variation if a recent trademark by WWE is evidential of anything.
Since coming to the main roster, he has had the name Big Cass, but he used to work in NXT and developmental under the name of Colin Cassady. That name may be coming back.
The trademark:
WWE recently filed a trademark for that name, indicating that Cass may be returning to WWE from the injury he suffered back in August 2017 with the name change.
As this upcoming week on WWE TV is the Superstar shake-up, it is possible that Cass makes his return under that name.
An alternative idea is that WWE could bring him back under his usual name, but use the trademark name for promotional material.
Cass was expected to be out for nine months while his knee repairs. This means he could likely return to active competition any day now.
