Since leaving WWE, Cody has had the time of his life on the independent circuit. The former Intercontinental Champion has captured Championships around the independent scene, including the ROH World Championship, which he ultimately lost to Dalton Castle.
Cody also joined the Bullet Club. Despite all the differences, brawls and storylines we’ve seen, there is no denying his impact on the Bullet Club faction and brand.
So what did he say on Twitter?
Taking to his Twitter account, Cody explained that WWE will always hold a huge place in his heart, but he doesn’t feel like he could take directions from anyone. This is what he would be expected to do if he returned to WWE. Check the tweet out below:
Unlikely. They have a huge place in my heart. They raised me.
But my music is my music and I play it how I want, I am literally incapable of taking direction. https://t.co/1OKmD58nVN
