John Cena Says He Is Ready for a Transgender WWE Superstar

16-time WWE Champion John Cena caught up with a reporter from TMZ while he was walking in the street, as Cena spoke about intergender matches in WWE and a possible transgender Superstar.

Cena was first asked if he was a fan of intergender matches in WWE, as they are usually rare- besides that of the WWE Mixed Match Challenge.

“Of course I am. I think any story is a good story as long as they’re presented in a decent light.”

Continuing the topic, the leader of the ‘Cenation’ was asked if WWE should have more intergender matches- as Cena referenced he and fiance Nikki Bella’s victory over Elias and Sonya Deville at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

“I just had a wonderful intergender experience with my bride-to-be at Madison Square Garden. So I guess if I can be involved in it, so can anybody else.”

It was then when the TMZ reporter asked Cena if he and WWE were ready for a transgender Superstar.

Here is what Cena had to say:

“I’m a storyteller my friend, and that’s what we do in WWE. And it’s not segregated to sex, race, creed, religion, any of that. So as long as the story is good, it belongs in WWE.”

They also discussed Floyd Mayweather vs. Connor McGregor. Cena gave props to both men but in regards to money-making, fans will have to leave it up to the ticket buyer to find out. The former Champion commented on the possibility of either man going to WWE.

“Floyd has been in a WWE ring before and he did quite well. And I’ve said Connor would do quite well, so it seems like a decent combination, right?”
