Although he was taken off the ‘Raw’ announce team, Booker will continue to work WWE Kickoff panels with special ‘Raw’ appearances, continuing his role as a WWE Ambassador.
In response to the news, Booker tweeted the following in typical Booker fashion:
Congratulations to @TheCoachrules for being back with the @WWE! Couldn’t be more happy to be back on the PPV kickoff shows with my girl @ReneeYoungWWE! Aww shucky ducky quack quack is back!!!!! #DigIt
— Booker T. Huffman (@BookerT5x) January 29, 2018
Shucky Ducky Quack Quack! Booker is back! We apologize for the rhyme.
It is unknown at this time if Booker was informed ahead of time that his duties as ‘Raw’ commentator would be ending, but he does seem to be fine with the change.
As he will remain with the company, there must be no hard feelings. The free time will allow the WWE Hall of Famer to continue focusing on his Reality of Wrestling promotion- the same promotion that saw the training of NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon.
You can find a classic match below if you’re interested in going back in time.
Are you going to miss Booker on ‘Raw?’ Which position did you prefer him in?
