Batista was last featured on WWE programming back in 2014 for around five months, which included a victory in the Royal Rumble match and a headlining match alongside Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan at ‘WrestleMania 30.’
Soon after, he quit WWE during a promo alongside Triple H on June 2 and hasn’t returned since. While there have been numerous reports over the years speculating a return, nothing seems to have happened for ‘The Animal’ since.
He had previously quit years before after a feud with John Cena over the WWE Championship. Check that out below.
Check out what he had to say on grplgme’s Facebook Page:
“I would love to go back [to WWE]. I’ve been very vocal about that. Never say never.”
Continuing, Batista clarifies on why he hasn’t accepted the invitation:
“I haven’t accepted a nomination into the WWE Hall of Fame because I just don’t feel like my career is over. I still feel like I have plenty to offer, but now it’s a scheduling issue and it’s also a creative issue. You never say never, but I’d love to go back.”
Back in November, it was reported by Jim Ross during an interview between the two that Batista was in contact with Vince McMahon about a possible return, but nothing seems to have come from that.
Batista has noted that if he were to come back, he wants the full experience. Besides regular appearances on ‘Raw’ or ‘Smackdown Live,’ he would want to compete at live events and participate wherever needed.
Would you like to see Batista return to WWE? Is he worthy of a Hall of Fame induction in your eyes?
