World Wrestling Entertainment have agreed a new television rights deal with Sky Sports in the UK, extending the current deal until 2019.

The deal, effective from 2015, will see all twelve pay-per-view events broadcast on Sky Sports Box Office, ending a long-term deal that saw selected PPV’s air as part of the Sky Sports package.

The new deal also see’s WWE Main Event broadcast in the United Kingdom for the first time.

Flagship shows Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown will continue to air on Sky Sports and will be available in high definition, with additional programming airing on Sky 1 HD.

NXT and WWE Vintage Collection will also continue to air on Sky Sports.

“WWE is brilliant entertainment, and I am delighted to once again extend our relationship with them,” said Barney Francis, Managing Director, Sky Sports. “WWE is hugely popular with our viewers, and now, they can continue to watch all the big events and weekly programmes with us.”

The signing of the new rights agreement takes WWE and Sky Sports’ partnership into a landmark 30th year.

There is no word on how the current deal will affect the launch of the WWE Network, which is still set to launch before the end of 2014.
