After losing a match to Mr. 450 at WWC Anniversio 42, the wrestler formerly known as Carlito Caribbean Cool, said during an interview that he would return to the WWC, but smiled and walked away when asked if he would return to the WWE. That’s not cool.
Carlito received a return offer from the WWE, but turned it down because “it was too low,” according to Wrestling Inc., but that could indicate a typical symptom of contract negotiations. However, a Carlito return is highly unlikely at least until 2016.
Rumors have circulated about a possible return for Carlito, but he currently has a list of independent bookings. On November 14, Carlito will appear at Warriors of Wrestling on Staten Island in a triple threat match against Darius Carter and Chris Steeler. On December 4th and 5th, Carlito has scheduled bookings in the United Kingdom for British Championship Wrestling.
Those bookings would prohibit Carlito from signing with the WWE, unless he receives an offer he can’t refuse. Despite winning the U.S. Championship against John Cena in his debut on Smackdown, Carlito never really ascended to anything higher than a mid-card performer. Putting that aside, he did get to date Torrie Wilson—on screen.
