NXT Officials Developing Non-Wrestling Role For Eva Marie

It appears there seems to be mixed reactions backstage when it comes to NXT Diva Eva Marie.

Today on Wrestling Observer Live, Barry Alvarez mentioned that NXT officials were trying to create a non-wrestling role for Eva Marie. While a final decision has not been made regarding her future, officials are skeptical of her in-ring abilities.

This news comes after we previously reported that Eva Marie would actually be one of the Divas in line to take on Bayley for the NXT Divas Championship in the near future. According to the initial report, WWE officials were looking for a breakout Hispanic star, and were initially impressed with Eva Marie’s improved in-ring skills. However, this seems to be no longer the case.

Eva Marie was also getting significantly more air time on the E! Network Reality Series “Total Divas.” WWE has always believed  that Eva Marie has had the look they want, but was never able to get over with the fans during her brief time on the main roster.

Editor’s Note:

WWE needs to decide what they want to do with Eva Marie, because they did a pretty solid job of shoving her down our throats on “Total Divas.” She definitely has the look they want, and if she truly has improved her wrestling skills, why not just let her try some new things out in NXT. It couldn’t possibly hurt her image, could it?
