WWE may be dealing with its own financial worries at the moment, but that hasn’t stopped the company from attempting to aid former contracted talented with their individual futures.

PWInsider.com is reporting the organization sent out letters to former talent and referees this past week offering financial planning and debt assistance to anyone who has ever worked for the company in those roles. The assistance is provided through a third party financial firm, and is free of charge to them.

Additionally, WWE has encouraged those who used to work for them to further their college education. In doing so, it is offering financial scholarships worth up to $5,000 per semester that will allow the talent to go to or return to school to help get a degree. All they must do is show proof of enrollment, and it’s theirs.

This is similar to the free rehabilitation program WWE offers to former talent in the event they need assistance, and appears to be a mainstay going forward.

Editor’s Note

While there is some stuff wrong with how WWE does business in my opinion (such as referring to wrestlers as “independent contractors,” this is fantastic. So many wrestlers have a hard time managing their finances.
