John Cena and The Rock had a brief altercation following the end of Monday’s broadcast of RAW, hinting at a WrestleMania match between the two.

After being interrupted by Damien Sandow, The Rock began to make his way backstage, just as Cena’s music hit for his post-show dark match against Dolph Ziggler. The two stared at each other briefly, before both looking at the WrestleMania 29 sign.

At WrestleMania 28, the two mega-stars faced off in a fight that was dubbed a “Once in a Lifetime” match, one that saw the current WWE Champion come out on top. The event was the highest drawing wrestling pay-per-view event of all-time, bringing in more than 1.2 million buys.

With that said, it has been widely speculated that this year’s event will see a rematch of the two, this time with the WWE Championship on the line. Cena earned the right to main event WrestleMania when he won his second Royal Rumble match on Jan. 27, and the following night announced his intentions to challenge for the WWE title. The Rock will face CM Punk this Sunday at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

While nothing is solidified at this point, it is possible that this brief encounter is foreshadowing of what is to come.
