Ric Flair made his return to WWE programing this past week on “Monday Night Raw,” giving The Shield a verbal approval and warning Evolution of what it was getting itself into.

With his return, many were expecting him to be involved at “Extreme Rules” in some capacity, whether it be helping The Shield or Evolution. However, PWInsider.com has provided an update on his status for the event.

According to the outlet, Flair is scheduled for an autograph signing in California on Saturday. Afterwards, according to those close to him, he will be flying straight back to Atlanta. There are no plans for him to appear at the show in East Rutherford, N.J.

Of course, this could very well be just a cover up in order to maintain and element of surprise. However, as of this writing, Flair is not scheduled for the special event.

Editor’s Note

This is completely fine with me. Flair gave his rub to The Shield, and is not needed to push this program forward. Put the emphasis on the young guys instead.
