Chairman Vince McMahon announced during the WWE’s First Quarter Investors Conference Call earlier today that “WWE Tough Enough” will be returning to the WWE Network as exclusive programming.

When listing content that was going to be making its way to the Network, “WWE Tough Enough” was mentioned along with “Monday Night Wars” and a new season of “Countdown.”

No filming or debut dates have been announced.

The premise of the show revolves around a select group wrestlers being trained in the ring and competing in a variety of competitions as they attempt to earn  a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.

Some past competitors include Maven, Jackie Gayda, Mike Mizanin (The Miz), Ryan Reeves (Ryback) and Cameron.

Editor’s Note

Season 5 of the series turned out be quite the flop, with Cameron (the first competitor eliminated from the show) being the only one currently under contract to WWE. Here’s hoping the show can gain new ground again (and credibility) on the WWE Network,
