After the “Tables, Ladders & Chairs” pay-per-view in two weeks time, WWE will begin to head towards the road to WrestleMania 31. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has long been rumored to be in the main event of the show, and now, there appears to be some confirmation of his WWE status.

As initially reported by PWInsider, Lesnar is now officially confirmed for WrestleMania 31. Not only this, but he is slated to appear on the “RAW” the night after at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

It was revealed earlier this week the champion has been pulled off the upcoming Slammy’s edition of “Monday Night Raw” from Greenville, South Carolina due to a change in creative. He is still expected to return right after “TLC.” His appearance the night after WrestleMania will be interesting, given it could be his final WWE showing if he chooses to split for a career in UFC once more.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently weighed in with his thoughts regarding Lesnar and why his first UFC run was a success:

“In the early days of Brock Lesnar in UFC, I would suggest that more people paid to see Brock get his ass whooped than paid to see him win. But once he won, and everybody saw what kind of beast he was, he was a legit beast, he wasn’t a fake wrestler, he was a former NCAA champion and All American, that’s the part of Brock Lesnar that they gravitated to.”

Lesnar’s representative, Paul Heyman, returned to WWE television this week to hype Lesnar’s impending WWE World Heavyweight Championship defense against either John Cena or another opponent, as Cena is now stipulated to lose his title shot if he loses to Seth Rollins at the upcoming pay-per-view. It is still expected Cena will face Brock Lesnar for the fourth time since Lesnar’s WWE return in 2012, at the “Royal Rumble” in Philadelphia Jan. 25.

Editor’s Note

I do expect Lesnar to leave once his contract expires after WrestleMania. He’s done it all at this point, let him fuel the fire in UFC.
