The Rock and Brock Lesnar may be in line for a summer feud, reports F4WOnline.
While The Rock has his hands full with the WWE Championship and his presumed WrestleMania match with John Cena, Lesnar appears headed for a rematch with Triple H following his attack of Vince McMahon. The report says that the reason these two current feuds are the primary reason why the match has not happened already, especially considering the differing schedule the two are on.
With the feud being rumored to culminate at this year’s SummerSlam, it would appear that the story between the two would come full circle. Lesnar defeated The Rock at SummerSlam 2002 for his first ever WWE Championship (at the time, the Undisputed Championship), just several months after officially debuting in the company. This would go on to be The Rock’s last full-time match in WWE, before leaving to kickstart his movie career.
It is also possible that the match may occur at WrestleMania 30 as one of the headliners, but this is not confirmed at this time. WWE also faces the challenge of booking around both part-timers, especially Lesnar. The 35-year-old recently re-signed for a limited-date yet lucrative multi-million dollar deal. As is the case with his previous contract, WWE will need to be careful in timing when his dates will be used.
There is no word currently on what The Rock’s WWE schedule will be after WrestleMania 29.
