Santa Clara to Host WrestleMania 31

In a big bit of news this morning, F4WOnline.com is reporting that Santa Clara, Calif. has been selected as the host city for WrestleMania 31.

The report states that WWE will hold a press conference on Tuesday from the Santa Clara Convention Center to make the announcement official. The event will be held at the new home of the San Francisco 49ers, Levi’s Stadium. The stadium will open in 2014.

The preceding night will see the Hall of Fame ceremony occur at the SAP Center in San Jose.

As we reported, Philadelphia had also been in the running to host the event. WrestleMania XXX is slated for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 6, 2014.
