The WWE may plan to have Roman Reigns win his first World Heavyweight Title at Wrestlemania, according to the rumor roundup on the web-site cagesideseats.com. A companion piece to that story, published on inquisitr.com reports that Reigns may win the title away from the talons of current champion Seth Rollins.
After Rollins cashed in his Money in The Bank briefcase at Wrestlemania 31, and subsequently pinned Reigns to win his first title, the storyline stands to provide a compelling feud. Unfortunately, WWE has struggled in their push of Reigns, going to the lengths of pairing him with the more popular Dean Ambrose in order to remind fans of their nostalgia from the days of The Shield.
While the audience pops for all things Ambrose, Reigns not only fails to get the same reaction but often draws some stray boos from the crowd. Unless WWE can find away to develop the Reigns character, fans will continue the question and revolt against the card as they have done for the past two Wrestlemanias.
If the rumor holds true, at least we know one thing…Rollins will remain champion for the next six months.
