Brock Lesnar and The Rock were indeed scheduled for an appearance on this past week’s RAW, The Wrestling Observer reports.

Not long ago, The Rock reportedly pitched a segment to Vince McMahon that would see Lesnar come out and beat down The Rock the night after WrestleMania, which would ultimately set up for a match at WrestleMania XXX. McMahon gave the OK to the program, and it was set to be put in motion prior to The Rock’s injury.

After getting hurt at WrestleMania though, he flew back to Miami to begin his recovery. This forced massive re-writes to RAW, and thus, the segment did not happen. WWE decided to hold off on using Lesnar, as his appearances are limited with his new contract that he signed towards the end of 2012.

The feud and match is still expected to take place in New Orleans next year.
