John Cena Misses House Show, Big Show Returns

John Cena was reportedly to have missed Sunday evening’s house show, taking place at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts announced it to the crowd during the event, and fans were offered full refunds in return.

In response to Cena’s absence, the Big Show made his return to the ring at the event. Show was successful in defeating Ryback, Rob Van Dam, Justin Gabriel, Wade Barrett, Curtis Axel, Christian, Mark Henry, The Usos, The Miz and The Shield in a battle royal, which earned him a right to face Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship later in the evening. He won this match via DQ, and thus, the title did not change hands.

Some in attendance noted it appeared he was working as a face throughout the show.

No news as to whether this confirms that he will return to television on this week’s RAW, as he had been advertised several weeks ago but was not medically cleared.
