As we previously reported, multiple sources are claiming that Tyson Kidd is set to return to active WWE competition in September. Kidd has been off of TV and out of the ring recovering from a knee injury that required surgery.

Kidd must have seen some of the “dirt sheets” reporting on his return, because he mentioned them when he commented on the matter via his official Twitter account Thursday. Kidd writes,

The last time Kidd appeared on WWE television was for “Bret Hart Appreciation Night” on Monday Night Raw back in May. Having him back in the ring by September is obviously just a hopeful thought from the WWE and Kidd, who will evaluate the best time for his return depending on how his knee feels.
