Jim Ross took to the Q&A blog on Tuesday to discuss some topics and look ahead to Elimination Chamber.
Regarding WWE Hall of Famer Ron Simmons’ booking while in WWE:
“Hmmm…he did well in both roles especially being pivotal launching Rock from the Nation. The APA thing with JBL was good too and garnered a great deal of TV time. They were two different presentations that were both executed well.”
Whether WWE talents refuse to work a certain match, like the Elimination Chamber, due to its danger and what effect that would have on their standing:
“I can’t imagine why a WWE talent would say no to being in a future main event at a PPV and miss out on the payday. I assume one could and no one would force them to do something that they weren’t comfortable with doing. However, they would have done themselves no favors and rightfully so.”
On comparing “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s booking to Daniel Bryan’s and whether Austin wasn’t pushed at the right time:
“I thought Austin’s timeline was spot on back in the day. As for today, I don’t know what WWE’s philosophy is regarding their booking. It’s hard to ascertain by watching their TV shows. I do see Daniel Bryan getting a ‘moment’ at WM30. Hopefully, the WWE World Title.”
Additionally, Ross has promoted the first episode of his podcast, which can be found here. He discusses the CM Punk situation, one that he believes is a shoot that will eventually be made into a work.
