Zeb Colter, manager and talking piece for Jack Swagger, noted Swagger took won the Intercontinental Championship at WWE’s live event in Sheffield, England Tuesday.

Colter noted on Twitter:

WWE has previously run this angle with Swagger at live events, as in April, he defeated Big E for the Intercontinental Championship but had the decision reversed. Colter had provided him aid to help him defeat the big man. Interestingly, but not surprisingly, Bad News Barrett worked as the babyface in the match, being that he was defending his title in his home country. As noted on Tuesday though, WWE is reportedly considering a babyface turn for one of its most popular members of the roster.

Though no images with Swagger as champion have emerged like last time, Twitter user @santana4britt noted Swagger won the belt in controversy.

Barrett would then win cleanly to retain his title.

Editor’s Note:

I think a program between Swagger and Barrett with Barrett as the face would be great for the mid-card, though I see that being a little far off. Good tease, though.
