Just 10 minutes after Brock Lesnar announced he was going to re-sign with WWE and close the doors on his MMA career, UFC President Dana White was interviewed by The Buzzer.
In the interview, White said he was made aware earlier in the day, and offered his support for Lesnar:
“I’m happy for him. He was always a standup guy. I knew this three hours ago, he called us and let us know. First of all, from what I understand, Vince made him a deal that he couldn’t refuse, which is awesome. I’m happy to hear that. I’m happy for both of them. And this is a sport that you have to be all in, I mean, you’ve gotta be like McGregor and Aldo. Brock had a really good stint here, he did some amazing things, and it was fun to have him.”
With his WWE contract expiring, Brock had been set to negotiate with several MMA companies, including UFC and Bellator. He appeared in the audience at UFC 184, which many foresaw as a sign he could head to the octagon. Lesnar said in his interview Tuesday, however, his mind would not let him commit to fighting once more.

Editor’s Note
Good on Dana to show support. I don’t believe he feels spurred by it.
