Three-time Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston is expected to undergo surgery tomorrow after aggravating an existing elbow injury this past Tuesday night.

Kingston took on Ryback during Tuesday’s SmackDown television tapings, to be featured on this Friday’s edition of the show. Kingston was then involved in a post-match angle which saw Ryback put Kingston through three separate tables.

Kingston was checked on by WWE physician Dr. Michael Sampson at the event, which saw Kingston leave the arena in a neck-brace, although this was later revealed as merely just a precaution.

Upon further diagnois by Dr Sampson, it was found Kingston would require surgery on his elbow and is expected to be out of action for a period of 4-8 weeks.
