Legendary voice of professional wrestling Bobby “The Brain” Heenan has reportedly encountered some health issues as of late, so much so, he was forced to cancel an upcoming appearance at the Alamo City Comic Con.
According to Title Match Wrestling, Heenan’s wife Cynthia informed the company the 69-year-old “Brain” suffered a fall and broke his hip. As a result, he will need to have surgery done that will leave him unable to attend.
It is just another battle of health problems for the WWE Hall of Famer, who suffered from throat cancer about 12 years ago. As a result, his appearance began to change dramatically, including a major weight loss that left him more fragile than many fans remember him to be. He had reconstructive jaw surgery a few years later, which led to significant complications that have ultimately left him unable to talk anymore.
Moreover, he is said to be still not in great shape, as he has broken both his shoulder and pelvis in recent years. Despite this, when healthy, he continues to make appearances at wrestling events around the country.
Editor’s Note
Get better, “Brain.” It’s a sad story, and tough to see his condition. But keep fighting!
