AJ Lee Reportedly Has Backstage Heat in WWE

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio this past Saturday night that WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee has backstage heat with WWE officials over an outburst that occurred at the tapings for Tribute to the Troops.

Lee reportedly saw real-life boyfriend CM Punk talking backstage with show host, NBC personality and major wrestling fan Michelle Beadle began to swear at her. Meltzer described the outburst as something she would have done in character, which came off “not in a good way.”

He claims that WWE is likely to take action against Lee for the scene, which may include having her drop the championship belt at TLC in her match against Natalya. CM Punk insinuated in a tweet last week that he was unhappy with WWE management.

It’s difficult to always try to do business the proper way with a company that refuses to practice the same standards.
