2K Games, the developers behind the upcoming WWE 2K14 video game, have announced that they will not be attending this year’s Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The convention – also known as “E3” – is one of the most popular hubs of video gaming every year, and is well known for being a platform for major studios such as 2K Games to announce brand new titles, updates on games currently in development, and more.

The reason behind 2K Games missing E3 this year is most likely due to their sister company, Rockstar Games, and their development of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V. Take-Two Interaction, the parent company of both 2K and Rockstar, wants to use all of their resources to promote GTA, as it will likely be the biggest video game release of 2013.

WWE 2k14 is set for release in late 2013, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson featured on the cover.
