As expected, CM Punk and the Undertaker will face each other this April at WrestleMania, confirming three of this year’s “main event” matches. Punk, the longest WWE Champion of the past 25 years, will look to end the 20-year streak of the Phenom, just months after losing his coveted title to the Rock at WWE’s January Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
Jack Swagger will also look to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Alberto del Rio, as the “Real American” earned his main event title match in the grueling Elimination Chamber this February. And of course, the Rock defends the newly remodeled WWE Championship against Royal Rumble winner and bitter rival, John Cena.
Although the match has yet to be confirmed, Brock Lesnar and Triple H are expected to face-off in a SummerSlam 2012 rematch, as this week on Monday Night Raw, the Game called out the man who broke his arm and put Vince McMahon in the hospital. Mark Henry and Ryback have teased a match at the April classic, while Sheamus and Randy Orton continue to be involved in similar programs.
While Wade Barrett and Sheamus were rumored to fight for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, there was no interaction between the two this week on Raw, as Barrett lost to Alberto del Rio, and Sheamus was involved in the main event to crown an opponent for the Undertaker, which of course was won by CM Punk.
