WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin recently called into 99.9 FM out of Seattle, WA to speak on his new film, “The Package”. The Texas Rattlesnake also spoke briefly on the future of WWE reality show, Tough Enough, and updated the condition of Jake “the Snake” Roberts.
Jake Roberts has been living with former WWE and WCW star, Diamond Dallas Page on the road to recovery. The two were recently joined by Scott Hall (aka Razor Ramon).
“Dallas Page is one of my best friends, and I talk with DDP all the time. Jake is in there, doing the DDP Yoga, cleaned up, and he’s been sober for I don’t know how long. His mind is back, and Jake is one of the best guys to ever get in the business. I’m a big fan – he’s one of my favorite workers. I don’t know Jake as well as some, but I got my fingers crossed that he continues going down the path that he’s on. I’m real proud of him for getting his life back.”
The radio hosts also mentioned the successful WWE reality show, Tough Enough, and asked Austin about the potential for another season.
“I tell you what – that’s been so long ago, I think that window is closed. And that’s really too bad, because it was a hell of a show. I loved doing it, and everybody that watched it loved it. It was [WWE] ultimately who pulled the plug, and why they did, I have no idea. But that’s on them, and I’ve moved on down the road and got a chance to start hosting a show called “Redneck Island” on CMT” … “I enjoy reality television, and WWE dropped the ball with Tough Enough.“
“The Package” is on sale now, available through popular retailers on DVD and Blu-Ray.
