TNA taped the following episode of Impact Wrestling, set to air on May 16th, this week from Tupelo, MS.
-Hulk Hogan calls out Abyss to discuss his return, but gets Joseph Park instead. Aces & Eights interrupts them, and it sets up a match with D’Lo.
(1) Jay Bradley def. Christian York. This match was the first Gut Check qualifier for the upcoming Bound for Glory series.
(2) Kenny King def. Chris Sabin & Petey Williams to retain the X-Division Championship
(3) Hernandez def. Christopher Daniels
(4) Joseph Park def. D’Lo Brown. Park was busted open in the match, and hit the Black Hole Slam for the victory.
-There was a contract signing between Sting and Bully Ray for the World Heavyweight Championship match at Slammiversary. Sting requested a No Holds Barred match, and Bully Ray wanted to make sure Sting never wrestled for the title again, should he lose. Both agreed to the terms, and Sting got the better of a brawl to end the show.
