As we previously reported, Dolph Ziggler suffered a concussion Tuesday night during WWE’s Smackdown tapings in Raleigh, North Carolina. WWE has confirmed that Ziggler’s concussion is legitimate and they are taking ultimate precautions with the injury.

Ziggler has been removed from all in-ring action until he can pass multiple screenings and an impact test to determine if he is healthy enough to compete again. This could mean that Ziggler could be out of the Extreme Rules ladder match if he cannot pass the test in time to perform. There’s definitely concern over the World Heavyweight Championship match and program now that the champion is injured, and WWE creative is said to be scrambling to figure out something new for Extreme Rules if Ziggler can’t go.
