Former TNA X-Division and tag team star Chris Sabin made his return to Impact Wrestling tonight, and defeated Zema Ion and Sonjay Dutt in a triple threat match to crown a brand new #1 contender to Kenny King’s X-Division Championship.

Sabin has battled a series of injuries for the past year, and has suffered a history of knee injuries which has effected his high-flying style in the ring. Several weeks ago, he announced his return to TNA, and spoke of a new wrestling style to improve his longevity in the wrestling business.

During the match on Impact, Chris Sabin had a new-found intensity, but was also much more grounded. Instead of high flying maneuvers, Sabin utilized many suplexes, and debuted a brand new finisher – the Fisherman’s Suplex Buster. He is scheduled to face Kenny King during next week’s Impact Wrestling taping.
