For those of you keeping track of the WrestleMania countdown, you already know that this is the penultimate pre-Mania Raw. What does that mean for tonight’s show? A Fastlane rematch, of course!
Not that I’m complaining, really. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns was a pretty epic brawl at Fastlane, and one I won’t mind seeing again. Though the endgame for Strowman here is unclear–he pretty much has to either lose or be disqualified–it should be a solid main event.
But what’s in store for WrestleMania itself? The big question is whether or not Dana Brooke will get involved in Women’s Championship match. Originally envisioned as a Fatal Four-Way including Nia Jax, the match is now a Triple Threat featuring the Raw-branded members of the Four Horsewomen.
But Dana’s suddenly got some momentum after her turn against Charlotte last week, and rumors are flying that WWE might want to once again make this a four-person match. We’ll find out soon.
Other points WWE is promoting tonight? Chris Jericho promises to expose the real Kevin Owens on an edition of the Highlight Reel. We’ll see the repercussions of Mick Foley’s fight back against Triple H, and further the Rollins vs. Hunter story. Plus Lesnar and Heyman will be there tonight, so there’s certain to be some anti-Goldberg trash talk.
But one of the most interesting questions tonight has nothing to do with WrestleMania or even wrestling–will Xavier Woods be on-screen tonight? We don’t expect any punishment from WWE for his role in the recently-released Paige sex tapes, but the company may elect to keep the New Day out of the public eye until talk of that scandal has died down. (Especially since tonight’s show will be live in front of a rowdy Brooklyn crowd.)
Raw broadcasts as always at 8PM Eastern/7PM Central on the USA Network. We’ll have everything covered as it happens, so stick with us for all the details!
