It’s just not WrestleMania without ladders involved, is it? Viewers of last night’s Raw saw the combatants in Sunday’s Raw Tag Title match get into multiple brawls involving ladders, and WWE’s not-so-subtle foreshadowing made this announcement an obvious one.

The Triple Threat which will see Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson defend the Raw Tag Team Championship against Sheamus & Cesaro and Enzo Amore & Big Cass is now a ladder match.

Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Ladder Matches–as wordy as that title might be–have an auspicious history at WrestleMania. Edge & Christian, the Hardy Boyz, and the Dudley Boyz competed in just such a contest back at WrestleMania 2000.

Given the rapidly intensifying rumors of the Hardys coming to WWE and their history with this match, well… You can speculate for yourself.

The past two WrestleManias have seen the Intercontinental Championship defended as part of a seven-man ladder match. Daniel Bryan won the title at 31, and Zack Ryder won the title at 32. (Pour one out for Ryder’s less-than-24-hour championship reign.)

This is just the gimmick that the Raw Tag Titles need. All three teams involved in the contest are capable of great matches, but there’s not much fire in the division–the high spots should provide just the remedy to that lack of interest.
