It’s that special day of the year—WrestleMania. It’s WWE’s gala event, a combination of big wrestling matches, celebrity appearances, and a scale of production rarely seen in the sports entertainment world. As a hardcore fan, it’s tough not to be disappointed with the card going into the show, given how many dream matches we were inches away from seeing, and the stars who aren’t on the show this year. But come on, it’s WrestleMania.
Neville as the evil Cruiserweight Champion and Austin Aries as the lovable jerk going after the title might be the most entertaining thing the cruiserweights have had since moving to the main roster, and many fans called this one as a show-stealer—even if it ended up being the pre-show that was stolen. Could Aries dethrone Neville as King of the Cruiserweights?
Aries had Neville in the Last Chancery, poised to win the match, but Neville got his hand into Aries’ injured eye. After a Red Arrow, Neville retained the Cruiserweight Championship.
